Membership FAQs
| How does ConnectedContractors.com drive traffic to the web site |
There are five ways traffic is driven to ConnectedContractors.com:
-
Marketing Cooperative – a portion of your membership fee is re-invested into our advertising program in your area
-
Co-branding by Sponsor – your local sponsor is the only business listed in its core business in your area. Growing the network is in the sponsor’s best interest. Your local sponsor will incorporate ConnectedContractors’ message into its advertising campaign and educate its current customers about the advantages of doing business via ConnectedContractors.com.
-
Viral Marketing – every time a business template or email form is used, ConnectedContractors brand and name recognition grows
-
Word-of-mouth referrals from business partners – businesses that do a good job are often asked for recommendations when the customer is shopping for other goods and services. If you’ve been in business any length of time, you’ve probably given out hundreds of verbal referrals. Now you and your local network of partners can point customers and prospects to ConnectedContractors.com. The network grows, and so will your future opportunities.
-
Homeowners and facility managers are challenged to find responsive, professional vendors. These key customers share positive experiences with their friends and colleagues. Word-of-mouth referrals from satisfied consumers are another source of web traffic at ConnectedContractors.com.

| How is my data protected? |
ConnectedContractors.com is backed up at 24-hour intervals, at three separate physical locations. There is a month-long backlog of copies. However, it is highly recommended, and in the member’s best interest to make printed hard copies of mission-critical documents.
[top] |
| What is the cost of membership? |
$300/year
[top] |
| What does it cost to post/view classified, coupon, employment & real estate ads? |
No charge... classified, coupons (8 max posted at one time), employment and real estate ads are included with membership. You can edit, delete or add posted information at your convenience.
[top] |
| What is the cost of software upgrades? |
No charge ...no additional costs, upgrade fees, installations or download. ConnectedContractors.com has an extensive roadmap of products in development and we strive to add as much value to your membership as possible.
[top] |
| How many directory categories can my company be listed in? |
Your business may be listed in as many as 3 categories within your directory, as part of your annual base membership fee. Each additional listing is available at a cost of $50/year/listing.
[top] |
| How do I add my company name to other categories within the directory? |
Click the Add Categories link found in your Member Dashboard.
[top] |
| What if there’s no directory category that describes what we do? |
We’ll add it at no additional charge to you! Please send an email request to info@connectedcontractors.com. Remember to include your company and contact info, local marketplace (ex: Orange County, NY) and the name of the new category that would best describe your business.
[top] |
| Can my company be listed in two different directories within a single local marketplace? |
Sorry, but due to programming limitations, two memberships would be required, with two separate email addresses. For instance, if you operate a plumbing supply business that also offers plumbing services, and wanted to be listed under Plumbing in the Supplier AND Contractor directory, you would need two separate, unique membership accounts.
[top] |
| What if my business operates in multiple territories? |
Your business would apply for membership in each area you service. For example, if your business operates in Orange, Dutchess and Rockland counties in New York, you would apply for memberships in each county to ensure your entire customer base can take advantage of the convenience ConnectedContractors.com offers.

| What tactics can I use to generate more leads? |
Our directories are organized by seniority, not alphabetically. And there is no bidding on key words. So if your company is listed lower in your directory category then you would like you could use other ConnectedContractors.com features such as coupons or classifieds. Utilizing other ConnectedContractors.com business templates and email forms can increase awareness for your business.
An important difference between proposals and invoices created on NCR paper, and those created on a ConnectedContractors form is that the latter carries your website and can easily be forwarded by a satisfied customer to a prospect.

| Why was my membership registration rejected? |
ConnectedContractors.com uses the local sponsorship model to ensure a real-world presence on the ground in each geographic region we service. Our local sponsors have exclusive rights over applicant memberships. This exclusivity can be exercised in cases where the applicant’s poor reputation is well documented or if the applicant has an unfair competitive advantage over the sponsor.
ConnectedContractors.com always has the final word when it comes to which companies are listed on our website, and we retain the right to edit our database as needed. Please view the membership contract (found on the Registration Page) for more details.

| I completed the registration process, why isn’t my company listed in the directory? |
Applications are processed in the order they are received. A business is posted to the directory when all documentation is complete and payment has been received in full.
