Please email us at info@ConnectedContractors.com giving us the directory type (contractors, suppliers, retailers, professional services and financial institutions) and a category name that best describes what you do. There is no charge to add a category type to the directory. No problem. We’d be happy to feature your company in our Other Local Resources directory. Send us the category description you desire and we’ll add it to the list! info@ConnectedContractors.com An amazingly effective, and highly recommended real-world networking organization, Business Network International, BNI, teaches its members a formula that is very easy to remember, and even easier to put to work: Credibility + Visibility = Profitability. In order for a business acquaintance to send opportunities your way, they first have to know, like and trust you; second they have to remember you. When those two things come together anything is possible. If business acquaintances have accepted your invites and reciprocated by adding you to their teams – they may like you personally… but you’ll want to do more relationship building to gain their trust and top of mind awareness. That can only be earned with face-to-face interaction. No technology will ever short-circuit that! Right! My Service Team is just a tool that helps you to manage your real-world networking efforts and build on relationships that are working for you. My Service Team will also give you, and the new connections you make offline a goal to work towards – “OK, we’ve met, there’s synergy, now what do we have to do to get the comfortable enough with each other to start working together?” With the aid of My Service Team, you’ll want to do more real-world networking because now you’ll have a means to leverage the valuable contacts you’re making. Plus it’ll take less time to manage your contacts, give and get introductions and track results, giving you more time to spend out and about forging new relationships that’ll help you grow your business. YES! You can’t network in a box, so we don’t put you in one. Why be forced to work with a company that might not be as good as another, only because the better of the two is not yet a member? You can add members or non-members to your Service Team. The only limitation is that the companies you invite to join your Team have to have a valid email address. Yes! We’ve made this very easy. At the very bottom of the Service Team page you’ll find a long weblink. Simply have your webmaster pop that link into a framed page of your site, and tie that new page to a My Service Team link in your site’s navigation. Here’s an example of a published Service Team directory for The Green Team. Business members can add documentation such as proof of insurance, awards, certificates, licenses, diplomas etc. to their Reputation Profile, but ConnectedContractors.com does not provide third party authentication of these credentials. Please consider your visit to ConnectedContractors.com as a starting point for due diligence where you learn enough about a company’s credentials and background to ask the right questions and request the appropriate documentation relevant to your project. We encourage you to please first submit a Customer Satisfaction Survey for the company, using the Rate this Member link found in each profile. Once that form is filed, the business in question will get an email alert containing your comments, and will have the opportunity to respond. Those remarks become a part of the public record as well. The business member will also be aware that your Rating and comments are now posted as part of their Reputation Profile. That will provide motivation for the business member to address your problems and concerns in the hope that you’ll add to the public record once they make things right. If the issue is not not resolved to you satisfaction, we do not provide arbitrage, but we can apply pressure as the companies listed on this website do value their reputation and standing within their local community. After reviewing the situation, ConnectedContractors.com can add a “Dispute” badge to the member’s Reputation Profile. When the dispute is resolved, the badge is removed. If a business member has two active disputes, the company’s Service Team is notified. A company with three Disputes in any one-year membership period forfeits the balance if it’s membership fee and is removed from the business directory. Yes. There are two sides to every story. And although the cliché is the “customer is always right”, sometimes there are extenuating circumstances. Ask them about what’s going on. A reputable company will welcome the opportunity to talk about ‘less than perfect’ situations. Often you’ll learn more about a company’s character and commitment when things go poorly rather than when everything is perfect. Yes! Legitimate companies embrace the sunlight. Disreputable companies move in the shadows to avoid publicity and exposure. Chambers of Commerce, Trade Associations, Networking Groups, Non-Profits and Community Service Organizations promote professionalism, add a measure of accountability and advance the causes that are important to businesses in general and/or the specific industry they serve or the community as a whole. We feel that belonging to these types of organizations represent an important part of a company’s identity. Business members can add links to other organizations they participate in. By linking, the visitor can immediately jump to that site and verify the company’s presence in the directory there, learn more about the culture and mission of that specific organization and perhaps determine our member’s participation level and involvement. Those that volunteer their time to help make these organizations a success often doesn’t get the credit and notoriety they deserve. Hopefully, ConnectedContractors.com can play a small part in helping consumers realize the important work many of our members do within their community and industry. Yes!
